Doctoral Researcher
Mohamadjavad Ghoudjani
nonlinear metamaterials for MEMS
DC10
Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi)
Supervised by:
Prof. Valentina Zega (PoliMi) and Prof. Alberto Corigliano (PoliMi)
He transitioned from Iran University of Science and Technology, where he researched the application of acoustic metamaterials in vehicle muffler noise attenuation. With a strong passion for experimental research, Mohamadjavad enjoys collaborating with fellow researchers and is also keen on teaching. Inspired by Adam Grant, an organizational psychologist, he envisions to be an university professor who fosters learning culture in his classroom through defining a variety of teamwork-driven activities. “I’m deeply intrigued by the ‘why’ behind people’s actions, rather than just the ‘what.’ This curiosity fuels my interest in reading about behavioral science during my free time,” says Mohamadjavad.
His initial experiences in Italy have been very positive, including a memorable moment when he received a lift home from a family when he was in trouble outside of the city. In addition to his academic pursuits, he enjoys running and is currently training for the POLIMI run competition in the spring of 2025.
