At Politecnico di Milano, she does research on metamaterials with switchable properties for integration in MEMS testing equipment and packaging, supervised by Valentina Zega (PoliMi) and Ondrej Rokos (TU/e). Originally from China, she completed her BSc at the The University of Nottingham Ningbo China and her MSc on metamaterial design at University College in London. With experience as a multi-scale simulation engineer in Shanghai, Ellie is now focused on getting a deeper understanding of computational analysis and metamaterials in MEMS systems. Residing in Milan, she enjoys the vibrant campus life, sharing her home with an Italian roommate, and exploring new culinary traditions. In her free time, Ellie loves playing tennis, hiking, and snowboarding.
