He began his academic journey in Civil Engineering at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, later transitioning to Applied Mathematics and Deep Learning in Cardiac Electrophysiology. As an R&D engineer, focusing on optimizing portable ECG machines, he visited Eindhoven a year ago for a Horizon Europe project. Now, he is excited to extend his stay in the Netherlands, to pursue an academic career researching simulation methodologies for metamaterial integration at the system level under the guidance of Varvara Kouznetsova (TU/e) and Elke Deckers (KUL).
Fatih considers himself lucky to have find a nice place to stay in the city center where he already has quite a number of friends. In his free time, Fatih enjoys exploring different cities in the Netherlands and is looking to resume playing tennis.
